About Us

Last updated: November 7, 2026

NovaRunway is an independent publication about apps, games and software. We cover what is worth installing on Android, what it actually costs, and what the store listing does not tell you.

Why This Site Exists

App store descriptions are marketing. They list features, quote launch reviews from a decade ago, and leave out the things that decide whether you keep an app installed — the ad load, the paywall, the permissions, the ownership change that quietly made it worse.

NovaRunway exists to fill that gap. Every article is written from the position of a reader trying to decide whether to download something, not a developer trying to sell it.

What We Cover

• Game reviews — mobile games across genres, with attention to controls, monetisation and how they actually play on a phone
• App reviews — utilities, productivity tools, health and finance apps
• Practical guides — setup advice, pricing breakdowns, and warnings about changes that affect existing users
• Platform context — store policies, subscription structures and privacy practices that affect what you install

How We Work

Our editorial process is simple and we hold to it:

1. We read the primary sources. Store listings, developer documentation, support pages, changelogs.
2. We read the negative reviews. An aggregate score tells you whether people liked an app in 2016. Recent one-star reviews tell you what changed.
3. We separate what we know from what we are told. Where a claim comes from a single user report, we say so.
4. We correct errors. If something on this site is wrong, we fix it and note the change.

We do not copy store descriptions or rewrite other people's articles. If an article reads like the listing it is about, we have failed.

Independence

NovaRunway is independently owned and operated. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any app developer, game studio or platform we cover, unless an article says so explicitly in plain language.

The site is funded by advertising and, where applicable, affiliate commissions. Those relationships do not determine what we publish or what we conclude. Full details are on our Disclaimer page.
